LET Aramco Korea Championship Participation
Three-Day Tournament Kicks Off May 9 at New Korea Country Club
First Appearance Since Hite Jinro Championship Last October
Former world No. 1 Sung Hyun Park will make an appearance in Korea next month.
The organizing committee of the Ladies European Tour (LET) Aramco Korea Championship announced on April 22 that "Sung Hyun Park will compete in the Aramco Korea Championship, which will be held at New Korea Country Club in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, for three days starting May 9. The tournament offers a total prize fund of $2 million." The event is hosted by Golf Saudi and sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF). Hyo Joo Kim and Danielle Kang (USA) are also set to participate.
Sung Hyun Park is a veteran golfer with seven career wins on the LPGA Tour, including two major championships. She will be returning to a domestic tournament for the first time in seven months, since the KLPGA Tour Hite Jinro Championship in October last year. Park commented, "It is always a great joy to compete in Korea," adding, "It is even more meaningful to participate in a tournament hosted by Golf Saudi."
