On April 21, Mapo District (District Mayor Park Kangsoo) held the "Masilyeonghwagwan" free movie screening event for senior citizens at the main auditorium of the Mapo District Office.
"Masilyeonghwagwan" is an event organized by Mapo District to provide seniors with opportunities to enjoy a variety of cultural experiences. This was the second screening, following the first one in March.
Approximately 150 senior citizens from the local community attended the event, along with District Mayor Park Kangsoo. Before the movie screening, a harmonica and trot music performance was held to liven up the atmosphere. The featured film, "Honest Candidate," delivered warm laughter and touching moments to the audience.
Before the movie began, District Mayor Park Kangsoo said, "It is twice as delightful to meet you again like this after March," and added, "I hope everyone enjoys the uplifting feeling that comes with a cheerful movie, has a great time, and takes good care of your health."
Mapo District plans to continue screening movies of various genres at 2 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month until November, except for July and August (the hottest months of the year). The musical film "Mamma Mia" is scheduled for May, and the action movie "The Roundup 3" is scheduled for June.
