BPA Achieves Top Rating for Three Consecutive Years in "Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation"

Achieved a Total Score of 99.74 Points, Driven by High Satisfaction Among Beneficiary Companies
First Among Public Institutions to Lead the Establishment of a Public-Private-Government Collaborative Technology Leakage Prevention System

Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on April 21 that it has achieved the highest rating for the third consecutive year in the "2024 Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation," which is overseen by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The "Public Institution Win-Win Growth Evaluation" is a program initiated to encourage public sector entities to take a leading role in fostering mutual cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and implemented by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership.

The criteria for the highest rating require a total score of 96 points or higher. In this year’s evaluation, BPA received high marks across all indicators, achieving a record-breaking total score of 99.74 points.

Notably, BPA saw a significant increase in its score in the survey measuring the perceived effectiveness of win-win growth among its partner SMEs, compared to the previous year, thereby demonstrating the tangible impact of its collaborative efforts.

The win-win growth perception score among BPA's partner SMEs was 18.24 out of a possible 20 points, which is 0.5 points higher than the average for other public institutions. This once again confirmed BPA’s status as a leading institution recognized by its partner companies for fostering mutual growth.

BPA has continuously implemented a variety of field-oriented win-win growth initiatives, including: the "Port-Related Specialized Support Project" tailored for partner SMEs in Busan Port; support for the establishment of smart factories; assistance in developing overseas markets; operation of a 20 billion KRW win-win fund for SMEs; support for start-ups; and joint investment-type R&D support.

In 2024, BPA became the first public institution to participate in a public-private-government collaborative "Technology Leakage Prevention System" support project, taking a leading role by providing technical and physical support to SMEs with vulnerable security infrastructure.

Going forward, BPA plans to take the lead in expanding practical support and building a sustainable ecosystem for mutual cooperation.

As a result of these win-win efforts, BPA was awarded the "Presidential Commendation for Win-Win Growth" in 2024, the first time for a port authority. BPA has also been recognized in various areas, including receiving certification for the "Rural ESG Recognition Program" for three consecutive years and being selected as one of the top ten outstanding companies.

Song Sangkeun, President of BPA, stated, "Achieving the highest rating for three consecutive years is the result of trust and cooperation with our partner SMEs at Busan Port. We will continue to foster a sustainable win-win growth ecosystem at Busan Port through sincere and collaborative partnerships with SMEs."
