Woori Financial Helps Underprivileged Students Nurture Dreams in Arts and Culture

Woori Financial Group's Woori Financial Future Foundation is partnering with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to launch "Woori Together on Stage," a program aimed at bridging the cultural gap for elementary and middle school students from underprivileged backgrounds.

This initiative provides students who have limited access to arts and culture due to economic or environmental reasons with opportunities to attend cultural performances, and also supports them in exploring career paths in the arts.

Beginning with a viewing of the play "Ballad for Roxanne" at the Myeongdong Theater on April 19, the program will offer 2,000 elementary and middle school students from underprivileged backgrounds in Seoul the chance to experience a variety of high-quality performances through December of this year. Attendance is available only during the school semester, and schools can apply through the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on a monthly basis. However, duplicate applications are not allowed.

In addition, 200 elementary and middle school students with an interest in arts and culture will be selected to participate in a career education program in the arts, held a total of 15 times throughout the year. Selected students will be able to participate safely in the program within their schools, and at the end of the year, a stage will be prepared for them to showcase the skills they have developed.
