Sixteen ARKO Creation Studio Works to Be Streamed Online on Naver TV

Sixteen works from the "Performing Arts Creation Studio: New Works of the Year," which were showcased from January to March at venues such as the Arko Arts Theater, Daehakro Arts Theater, National Theater of Korea, and Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul, will be released online over a two-month period starting April 22.


The Creation Studio is a flagship basic performing arts support program of the Arts Council Korea (ARKO). ARKO discovers and presents outstanding new works in six basic performing arts fields: theater, original musicals, dance, music, original opera, and traditional arts. This year, a total of 31 works were presented to audiences, and among them, live recordings of 16 performances will be streamed sequentially on Naver TV for two months starting April 22.


Beginning with the original musical "Nellie Bly" on April 22, four performances will be released in April, six in May, and another six in June. Each performance will be available for viewing from 8 p.m. on the day of broadcast.

In April, audiences can enjoy live recordings of "Nellie Bly," the dance piece "Delivering You," the original musical "Mumyeong Hogyeol," and the play "Existing Dolls: The Text of Dolls."


In May, starting from the 8th, the lineup includes the play "Magnolia Balloon," the traditional arts performance "I Will Release Your Grudge: REMASTER," the original opera "Winky," the traditional arts piece "Yeonhui Physics ver.1 'Won'," the play "Dongbaekdang: People of the Bakery," and the original opera "Global Warming Opera 1.5°C," all to be streamed sequentially.


In June, starting from the 2nd, the following performances will be presented in order: the traditional arts piece "Namdo Seonsori: Reciting Poems - Why Did You Remain Silent? (Subtitle: About the Middle of the Head)," the dance work "Roman Nomang," the traditional arts changgeuk "Our Sound Baraji: God of Money," the music piece "Disappearing," the dance "Gatserengeti," and the original opera "Opera Kalea Butalsoro."


Among these, the original musical "Mumyeong Hogyeol," the traditional arts piece "Namdo Seonsori: Reciting Poems - Why Did You Remain Silent?," and the changgeuk "Our Sound Baraji: God of Money" will be available as sponsored live streams, accessible through a set donation and viewable until midnight on the day of the broadcast. All other works can be viewed free of charge, limited to one viewing per day.
