Prime Minister Han Ducksoo, Acting President, stated on the 21st, "Achieving a top-three position in artificial intelligence (AI) is a goal we must accomplish."

Attending the "Science and Information and Communication Day" ceremony held at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Han said, "AI, by converging with various advanced technologies, will drive innovation across all industries and serve as a key engine for future growth."

Han emphasized, "The government has recently allocated a total of 1.8 trillion won to the AI sector in the essential supplementary budget," adding, "We intend to actively support the urgent expansion of AI computing infrastructure, the development of a Korean-style AI model, and the creation of an innovation fund to foster AI startups."

Han also mentioned, "The fourth launch of the Nuri rocket, scheduled for November, will serve as an opportunity to elevate our dreams and hopes to a higher orbit," and added, "Those of you who continue to work in laboratories and at industrial sites are the pioneers who will open the future of the Republic of Korea."

Han further stated, "Science, technology, and digital innovation are the most reliable stepping stones for our prosperity," and pledged, "I will do my utmost to support you so that you can fully demonstrate your creativity, innovation, and spirit of challenge."
