[Tomorrow's Weather] Gwangju and Jeonnam Cloudy with Rain... Up to 80mm Expected On the 22nd, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to be cloudy all day due to the influence of a low-pressure system, with rainfall of 20 to 60 mm, and more than 80 mm in some areas. Yonhap News Agency

On the 22nd, Gwangju and Jeonnam will experience cloudy weather throughout the day with rainfall.


According to the Gwangju Meteorological Administration, the region will be affected by a low-pressure system moving from the West Sea to the East Sea, but is expected to gradually move out of its influence. The expected precipitation is 20 to 60 mm in most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam, with some locations receiving more than 80 mm. Winds will also be strong, with maximum instantaneous speeds around 55 km/h (15 m/s).


Morning low temperatures will be 13 degrees Celsius in Boseong and Goheung; 14 degrees in Jangheung and Suncheon; 15 degrees in Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Gwangyang, Hwasun, Mokpo, Yeongam, Jindo, Gangjin, and Wando; 16 degrees in Naju, Jangseong, Yeonggwang, Hampyeong, Shinan, and Haenam; and 17 degrees in Gwangju.


Afternoon high temperatures are forecast to be 20 degrees Celsius in Gwangju, Yeonggwang, Jangseong, Hampyeong, Muan, Yeongam, Gangjin, Hwasun, Wando, Gokseong, and Gurye; 19 degrees in Damyang, Shinan, Naju, Mokpo, Haenam, Jindo, Jangheung, Boseong, Suncheon, and Goheung; and 18 degrees in Gwangyang.


Wave heights are expected to be 1 to 2 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea and 1 to 3.5 meters in the coastal waters of the South Sea. Both fine and ultrafine dust levels will remain 'good.'


An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "In areas where it is raining, visibility will be reduced and some roads may be slippery, so we advise drivers to maintain a sufficient safe distance, reduce speed, and pay close attention to traffic and pedestrian safety."
