Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the "2025 Pyeongtaek City Gyeonggi Youth Ladder Program" until May 12, aiming to help local young people strengthen their international capabilities and plan their career paths.

Training at a U.S. University... Pyeongtaek City Recruiting Participants for "Youth Ladder" Program

This program is an international career exploration initiative that provides young people with overseas university training experiences to ensure equal educational opportunities. Launched for the first time last year, it sent 17 young participants to the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

This year, the training will take place at the University of Missouri in the United States. Eligible applicants are young people aged 19 to 39 who have been registered residents of Pyeongtaek City from January 1 of this year up to the application date. The program will select 20 participants. The city will cover airfare, accommodation and meal expenses, program fees, and overseas travel insurance. However, some costs, such as passport and visa issuance, must be paid by the participants themselves.

Those selected for the program will attend a pre-departure training session at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies International Social Education Institute from June 24 to June 27, for three nights and four days. The overseas training will be held from July 3 to July 27. After the program, a results presentation will also be held.

Interested applicants can apply through the "Jobaba Apply" integrated application system starting April 29. For more details, inquiries can be made through the KakaoTalk channel "2025 Pyeongtaek City Gyeonggi Youth Ladder."

A city official stated, "We will spare no effort to support young people so that they can take a step forward through this overseas training experience."
