A Total of 4,000 People Surveyed by Five Agencies... 100% Public Opinion Reflected
Results to Be Announced After 7 p.m. on the 22nd... Vote Percentages and Rankings Not Disclosed
The People Power Party's election management committee announced on the 21st that a two-day public opinion poll will be conducted to determine the four candidates who will advance to the second round of the 6·3 presidential primary. The results will be announced after 7 p.m. on the 22nd.
Ho Junseok, spokesperson for the People Power Party's election management committee, met with reporters at the National Assembly after the committee meeting on this day and stated, "On the 21st and 22nd, five polling agencies will conduct surveys with a sample of 4,000 people."
This first round of the People Power Party primary will be conducted entirely through public opinion polling, without a party member vote. However, to prevent strategic voting, only People Power Party supporters and unaffiliated voters will be surveyed.

Spokesperson Ho explained, "Before the announcement, the five polling agencies will deliver the results to Chairman Hwang Wooyeo via USB," adding, "After that, a staff member from the policy bureau will aggregate the results." Candidate representatives will be present to observe the aggregation process. According to party officials, the poll results are expected to be released after 7 p.m. on the 22nd. The vote percentages and rankings will not be disclosed.
When asked by reporters whether there were any plans to take action regarding the ongoing negative campaigning and mutual calls to leave the party between presidential primary candidates Na Kyungwon and Ahn Cheolsoo, spokesperson Ho responded, "We do not believe the situation has reached such a level," and drew a line by saying, "During a primary, criticism and competition among candidates are natural."
Regarding criticism that the MBTI test and balance game during the two debates held on the 19th and 20th lowered the tone of the proceedings, Ho said, "We are listening to constructive feedback," and added, "We will take such opinions into account in future proceedings." However, spokesperson Ho also noted, "There were many positive aspects that drew attention," and added, "Isn't it excessive to criticize based solely on a single balance game question?"
