Various Events Including Talk Concerts and Poetry Recitation Gatherings
On April 26, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Anseong Mat-Choom Poetry Festival: Sijongilgan' at the Anseong Mat-Choom Land area.
'Sijongilgan,' which will be held as part of the '2025 East Asia Culture City' event opening on April 25, is intended to mean a day spent writing, listening to, and enjoying poetry together. The event offers an opportunity to experience and enjoy poetry throughout the day, as well as to discover ways to spend time through relaxation and poetic activities.
The event will feature a variety of organizations and groups, including public literature museums, university departments and clubs, writers' associations, craft associations, and publishers, all providing related content. Programs include a poet talk concert, band performances, yoga and meditation sessions with poetry, poetry recitation gatherings, and a stamp tour. There will also be experience booths, a flea market, and food trucks, along with photo zones and open library spaces set up throughout the venue. In the evening, poetry-themed films will be screened.
An official from the city stated, "Through this event, participants will be able to create special spring memories where poetry, music, nature, and relaxation come together," adding, "We will continue to lay the foundation for the revival and revitalization of Anseong's literary scene through various literature-related events in the future."
