The Chungnam Office of Education held the "2025 Agreement-Type Specialized High School Business Agreement Ceremony" on the morning of April 21 at the Benikea Hotel in Seosan, with the aim of fostering quality masters in the petrochemical sector who will play active roles across Korea's industries, focusing on Seosan Technical High School.
The multilateral business agreement signed on this day involved a total of 12 organizations, institutions, and companies: Seosan Technical High School, Seosan City, National Assembly member Sung Iljong, Daejeon Regional Employment and Labor Office, HD Hyundai Oilbank Co., Hanwha TotalEnergies Co., Tronics Co., the National Quality Master Association, Seosan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hanseo University, and Shinsung University.
During the signing ceremony, Kim Jicheol, Superintendent of Education, Lee Wanseop, Mayor of Seosan, National Assembly member Sung Iljong, and the heads of the 12 participating organizations and institutions exchanged signed agreements and pledged to work together to support the development of Seosan Technical High School as it prepares to open as an agreement-type specialized high school.
The 12 organizations, institutions, and companies resolved to join forces to develop Seosan Technical High School into a prestigious institution that cultivates quality masters in the petrochemical sector, taking the opening of the agreement-type specialized high school as an opportunity. They also agreed to work together to create conditions that will encourage graduates to settle in the local community.
Until now, the Chungnam Office of Education has collaborated with Seosan City, relevant agencies, and the National Quality Master Association through business consultations to improve the overall level of training for young quality masters, in preparation for the opening of the agreement-type specialized high school at Seosan Technical High School.
This agreement is expected to further accelerate preparations for the agreement-type specialized high school at Seosan Technical High School. It is also anticipated that fostering young quality masters in the petrochemical sector will significantly enhance and strengthen the competitiveness of vocational education in Chungnam Province.
Superintendent Kim Jicheol stated, "At the Chungnam Office of Education, we are constantly considering how to help students develop the competencies needed in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution," and added, "With today's business agreement for the opening of the agreement-type specialized high school, I hope our students will grow into key players in Korea's industrial sectors."
