Hwaseong Fire Station received the top prize at the Gyeonggi-do Fire Technology Competition.
Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters held the awards ceremony for the "2025 Gyeonggi-do Fire Technology Competition" on the 21st in the main conference room on the first floor of the headquarters in Paldal-gu, Suwon, encouraging the efforts of the awardees.
This competition, held from April 1 to April 4 at Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy in Yongin, was divided into a total of nine categories: Strongest Firefighter, Rescue Tactics, Emergency Medical Services, Firefighting Tactics, Fire Investigation, Life Safety, Drone, RIT (Rapid Intervention Team), among others.

As a result of the competition, Hwaseong Fire Station won the top prize, Icheon Fire Station and Suwon Nambu Fire Station received the excellence award, and Yeoju Fire Station and Ansan Fire Station were awarded the encouragement prize.
The winning organizations will represent Gyeonggi-do at the "National Fire Technology Competition" to be held in June.
Kim Jaebyeong, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "Only consistent training can protect lives tomorrow," and added, "Gyeonggi Fire will continue to evolve into a field-strong, adaptable organization capable of responding to any situation."
