The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is set to actively implement the 'Gyeonggi Future Supervision' policy, which centers schools as the main drivers. In addition, the office will restructure the supervision systems of the 25 local education support offices in the province and actively support the expansion of autonomous school operations through on-site, practical supervision.
On April 21, the provincial office announced that it had provided guidance on the direction of the 'Gyeonggi Future Supervision' policy to schools at all levels.
'Gyeonggi Future Supervision' is an educational policy that emphasizes the values of autonomy, cooperation, and expansion. It focuses on expanding communication with the field, establishing the Gyeonggi Future Supervision platform, and strengthening a customized, integrated supervision system for schools.
An official from the provincial office stated, "We plan to foster discourse for the redefinition of supervision through district-level supervision councils and supervision conferences in each region. Through related policy research, we will reorganize the supervision operation system and reflect the needs of the field in supervision activities to realize future-oriented education in Gyeonggi."
Additionally, the provincial office plans to establish the Gyeonggi Future Supervision platform to systematically collect and manage data such as each school's current status, vision, curriculum, and school evaluation results, as well as to manage the supervision history of schools in order to provide close support.
