The training simulated a situation in which a person with a mental illness threatens people with a weapon in a crowded area. The scenario was designed to closely resemble a real-life confrontation between residents and police officers. Approximately 60 participants, including the initial response team, local police, detectives, women and youth division, and traffic division, took part in the exercise, which proceeded in the order of situation reception, dissemination, pursuit, and apprehension, demonstrating a coordinated response across all functions.
Chief Superintendent Jeong Seongil stated, "We will continue to conduct ongoing and customized training for serious crimes, including motivational crimes, until the anxiety of county residents is alleviated. We will do our utmost to ensure that residents can go about their daily lives with peace of mind."
