AliExpress announced on April 21 that it has conducted safety inspections on 258 product categories distributed in Korea, in collaboration with the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA).

The inspection covered a total of 258 items across five categories. By category, these included: ▲baby and children's products (70 items), ▲clothing and cosmetics (69 items), ▲sports and winter goods (27 items), ▲household goods (46 items), and ▲kitchenware (46 items). Of these, 220 items (85.3%) were found to meet domestic safety standards.

AliExpress has been conducting voluntary safety inspections every month in cooperation with five major domestic testing and inspection agencies (KTR, KCL, KOTITI, FITI, KATRI), in accordance with the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with the Korea Importers Association in September last year. If a product fails to meet the domestic KC standards, AliExpress immediately suspends its sale and blocks its redistribution.

Based on these results, AliExpress plans to further strengthen efforts to build consumer trust and create a safer distribution environment. The company will also intensify pre-inspections and post-monitoring for seasonal high-demand items, focusing on children's products in May, water play and vacation items in July, and camping and ritual items in September.
