A warning post has sparked controversy on social media after a man in military uniform was reported to have exposed his private parts on the subway. Police are currently tracking down the suspect.

On April 19, an individual identified as A posted on X (formerly Twitter), "Women taking the Shinbundang Line, please be careful," along with photos and videos showing a man in military uniform exposing his genitals. The video depicts a man in military attire unzipping his pants and exposing his private parts.

A also shared a message sent by the victim. According to A, the victim wrote, "Today, while I was on the Shinbundang Line, a man in military uniform stood in front of me with his pants unzipped. He also appeared to be taking photos with his phone," and asked for help in raising public awareness about the incident.

The victim continued, "I was so shocked that I tried to send a text to the Shinbundang Line customer service number, but it didn't go through. So I contacted the police, and the case has now been filed as a public indecency case, but the man has not yet been caught."

The victim, who uses the Shinbundang Line daily, asked A to post a warning for other women using the line. The victim added, "The police advised me that if something like this happens on a train, it's faster to text 112 with the train number instead of reporting it to subway customer service."

The incident is rapidly spreading across various online communities. Internet users who came across the story commented, "He definitely can't be an active-duty soldier," "It would be terrifying to encounter this on the subway," and "He needs to be caught quickly," among other reactions.
