Garrick Higgo (South Africa) claimed victory for the first time in four years.
On April 20 (local time), at the Corales Golf Course (par 72, 7,670 yards) in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Higgo shot an even-par 72 in the fourth round of the PGA Tour's Corales Puntacana Championship (total prize money: $4 million) to win by one stroke with a total of 14-under-par 274. This marks his second career victory, coming four years after his previous win at the Palmetto Championship in June 2021. He earned a winner's prize of $720,000 (approximately 1 billion KRW).

Higgo carded three birdies and three bogeys. He was cruising at 2-under-par through 12 holes, but made bogeys on the 13th and 17th holes, finishing the tournament at even par. The other contenders were unable to lower their scores, allowing Higgo to secure the top spot. Higgo is known for his dramatic rise, having won his second PGA Tour event after being invited as a special entrant in 2021.
Five players?including Joel Dahmen and Keith Mitchell (both from the United States)?tied for second place at 13-under-par 275. Chan Kim, a Korean-American who was tied for second the previous day, aimed for a come-from-behind victory but dropped two strokes and finished tied for seventh at 12-under-par 276. Korean players Kang Sung-hoon and Noh Seung-yul missed the cut.
