The "I Jeollo, Ssanggyesa" event, held in Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do, brought together a total of 24 participants?12 men and 12 women. With over 1,300 applicants, the program saw a high level of competition.
The selected participants spent two days and one night wearing Hanbok. Male participants used pseudonyms beginning with "Cha," while female participants used pseudonyms starting with "Da." The program included self-introductions, a Dharma talk by Venerable Jinwoo, one-on-one rotation tea conversations, and a date at the Tea Culture Grand Festival. Recreation activities and educational sessions to raise awareness about addressing low birth rates were also held.
Venerable Jinwoo, the Chief Executive Director, advised, "This Saha world we live in is thoroughly relative. For me to exist, the other must exist, and for the other to exist, I must acknowledge and empathize with them. The same applies to romantic relationships. Regardless of gender or relationship, what matters most is empathizing with each other's hearts. In order to fully understand and accept the other, one must go through the process of overcoming oneself."
The foundation plans to hold the next "I Jeollo, Bongseonsa" event at Bongseonsa Temple in Namyangju this July.
