Cleaning Up Waste and Trash in the Surrounding Area

Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) announced on April 18 that it had conducted a resource circulation and environmental cleanup activity on April 16 at the Jingok Freight Public Garage, together with Clover RE100 and Eoullim Sarang Nanum Volunteer Group, in order to promote volunteerism and spread a culture of sharing.
The Jingok Freight Public Garage is a facility managed and operated by Gwangju Urban Corporation. It was established to provide a pleasant environment for freight transportation businesses and workers, as well as to enhance convenience and welfare for transportation workers.
About 30 people participated in this resource circulation and environmental cleanup activity, including representatives from Clover RE100, Eoullim Sarang Nanum Volunteer Group, employees, resident companies, and gas station staff. They collected waste and trash in the area surrounding the garage.
Kim Seungnam, President of Gwangju Urban Corporation, stated, "This environmental cleanup activity is an example of a public institution fulfilling its responsibility to improve the urban environment and raise awareness of environmental protection." He added, "We will continue to regularly carry out environmental cleanup activities in cooperation with local volunteer organizations at sites such as the Pyeongdong 3rd Freight Public Garage."
