Partial Facelift Escalade Unveiled and Pre-Orders Begin
Bupyeong and Changwon Plants Operating Normally
New Lineups and Steady Strategy Execution Confirmed
Korea GM dismissed rumors about GM's withdrawal from Korea amid tariff issues raised by the Trump administration in the United States.
At the partial facelift Escalade domestic launch event held on the 16th at AK Plaza in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, Hector Vizareal, President of Korea GM, said, "Korea is a strategically important market," adding, "Korean consumers are highly sensitive to technology and are strong early adopters leading new trends."
He continued, "We will expand our presence not only through products but also through genuine communication with customers," expressing the brand awareness and sales network strengthening commitment to the Korean market.

Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at Korea GM, also said, "GM's principle is not to respond to speculative rumors one by one," adding, "We will continue to launch new lineups and steadily execute the strategies we have established in Korea."
Yoon Myung-ok, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Communications at Korea GM, explained, "The Bupyeong and Changwon plants are operating normally, and adjusting supply according to demand is a standard operational procedure," referring to the recent production volume plans for the Bupyeong plant disclosed to the union. Earlier, Korea GM reportedly allocated an additional production volume of 21,000 new vehicles, including the Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX, to the Incheon Bupyeong plant.
On this day, Korea GM unveiled the partial facelift model of Cadillac's flagship large sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Escalade, to the domestic market and began pre-orders.
The partial facelift Escalade features newly designed vertical LED lamps and lighting systems on the front and rear, as well as 24-inch wheels, emphasizing its presence as a large SUV. The second row now comes standard with an Executive Seat Package for VIP passengers, and advanced convenience features such as a 55-inch curved LED display and the 'AKG Studio Reference Sound System' consisting of up to 40 speakers are installed. The powertrain is equipped with a 6.2ℓ V8 gasoline direct injection engine delivering a maximum output of 426 horsepower and a maximum torque of 63.6 kg·m.
The Escalade is available in both standard and extended wheelbase versions. The trims are ▲Premium Luxury Platinum and ▲Sport Platinum. The domestic launch price is 166.07 million KRW for the standard version and 188.07 million KRW for the extended version, with the same price for each trim.
