Construction began in 2022,
Redevelopment underway with a total project cost of 72 billion KRW
Cheonan Mayor Park Sangdon visited the Samgeori Park redevelopment construction site to inspect the progress.
This project was prepared to create leisure and relaxation spaces for citizens and is also one of Mayor Park's pledges for the 8th popularly elected term.
Since 2022, the city has been carrying out redevelopment construction on a 173,364-square-meter area at 291-4 Samryong-dong, Dongnam-gu, with a total project cost of 72 billion KRW.
The original project cost was 66 billion KRW, but it increased by 6 billion KRW due to the reinforcement of park facilities such as the musical fountain and rising prices.
Currently, the basic infrastructure and urban ecological rest area projects have been completed, and finishing touches are being made on park facilities such as the plaza and water features.
After touring the musical fountain and lawn plaza, Mayor Park said, "Please pay close attention to the progress before the park opens and ensure that the project is successfully completed within the planned schedule."
