Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi-do will hold a 'Free Safety Inspection for Socially Vulnerable Vehicle Owners' event on the 27th at the Hwaseong Sports Complex parking lot located in Doiri, Hyangnam-eup.

Hwaseong-si Provides Free Vehicle Safety Inspections for Socially Vulnerable Groups

Held annually since 2005, this event is organized by the Hwaseong branch of the Gyeonggi-do Automobile Professional Maintenance Business Association (KAPOS) and sponsored by Hwaseong City and the Hwaseong Volunteer Center.

Registered disabled persons in the area, volunteers with more than 100 hours of service, national merit recipients, and vehicles of social welfare facilities can receive free inspections. Those interested should bring their disability card, ID card, volunteer card, vehicle registration, etc., and register on-site by 3:30 PM on the day of the event.

The inspection items include a total of 34 checks such as free replacement of wipers, antibacterial filters, and plugs; free replenishment of washer fluid, antifreeze, and engine oil; and inspection of the alternator and starter motor condition.

The city will also hold side events such as Sujichim (finger acupuncture) and a Love Sharing Bazaar. The proceeds from the bazaar will be donated to neighbors in need in the community through the Hwaseong Volunteer Center at the end of the year.

The city plans to conduct free inspections in the Dongbu and Dongtan areas in the second half of the year as well.
