Four Institutions Begin Collaboration on Unmanned Stores, Local Food, and Digital Platforms
Dongmyung University, together with Busan Sasang Senior Club, Frontier Food, and MCIS, held a multilateral industry-academic-government cooperation agreement ceremony on the 14th to successfully promote the 2025 Local Content-Focused University Project and to establish a sustainable local startup ecosystem.
The agreement aims to vitalize startups through the development of creative local content and collaboration between young and senior talent, and holds great significance in establishing a practical joint cooperation system among industry, academia, and government in areas such as unmanned store operations, food manufacturing and distribution, and digital platform construction.
Through regular curricula and extracurricular programs, the university plans to nurture talent tailored to the region, and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy and spreading startup culture through the development of multi-generational convergence joint brands, operation of startup testbeds, and cooperation projects with local governments. By organically combining the unique strengths of each institution, the creation of sustainable local business models that blend regional resources and creativity is also anticipated.
No Seongyeo, Dean of Dongmyung University (Professor of Entrepreneurship), said, "Based on the agreement, each institution will jointly plan detailed projects and gradually promote the training of professional talent and startup demonstration projects," adding, "We will secure the sustainability and scalability of the Local Content-Focused University Project by expanding our cooperation network with local governments and communities."
