Goryeong County Partners with Coupang to Expand Online Sales Channels for Goryeong Agricultural Products

Goryeong County, North Gyeongsang Province, signed a "Business Agreement for Expanding Online Sales Channels for Goryeong Agricultural and Specialty Products" at Coupang's headquarters in Seoul on the 16th.

The signing ceremony was attended by Goryeong County Governor Lee Namcheol, Coupang Rocket Fresh Division Head Lee Seonghan, National Assembly member Jeong Heeyong, Goryeong County Council Chairman Lee Cheolho and council members, NongHyup Goryeong Branch Manager Lee Sangyong and local NongHyup managers, representatives of agricultural cooperatives, and Coupang officials.


Through this agreement, farmers in Goryeong County will be able to more easily supply fresh and high-quality agricultural and specialty products to consumers nationwide by utilizing Coupang's powerful online distribution network. This is expected to increase farm income and revitalize the local economy by expanding online sales channels.


Governor Lee Namcheol stated, "With this agreement as an opportunity, we will actively support Goryeong County's agricultural products to become more widely known and to secure a stable sales network through the nation's top online platform."


Starting with this business agreement, Goryeong County and Coupang plan to establish a continuous cooperative system and jointly develop various support measures to improve farm income and promote regional economic development through online distribution.
