'Handuksoo Candidacy Theory' Joins Kim Moonsu Camp, Including Representative Park Sooyoung

Lawmakers Eom Taeyoung, Kim Seonkyo, and In Yohan Also Join the Campaign

Several incumbent lawmakers, including Park Soo-young of the People Power Party, who had advocated for 'Han Deok-su's presidential candidacy,' have joined the campaign of former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo, who is running in the June 3 presidential election.

According to Kim Moon-soo's campaign on the 16th, lawmakers Eom Tae-young (Chief of Organization Headquarters), Park Soo-young (Chief of Policy Headquarters), Kim Seon-kyo (Chief Special Advisor), and In Yo-han (Chairman of the Special Committee for Strengthening the Korea-US Alliance) joined the campaign on that day.

Originally, the campaign planned to hold a 'Support and Joining Declaration Event for Preliminary Candidate Kim Moon-soo' at the Daehwa Building in Yeouido, Seoul, in the morning, but due to changes in the list of supporting lawmakers, it was changed to a private meeting.

The campaign also announced that lawmakers Jang Dong-hyuk, Kim Mi-ae, and Park Dae-chul would participate in the support declaration, but Jang Dong-hyuk's office stated, "There is no truth to any announcement that we have decided to support a specific candidate," causing confusion.

During the meeting, Lawmaker Park Soo-young said, "Candidate Kim is competent and honest, and I judge him to be the right person for regime re-creation, so I actively support him." Lawmaker Eom Tae-young said, "Candidate Kim is honest, clean, and actively supported because he represents conservative values."

Also, Lawmaker Kim Seon-kyo said, "I believe candidate Kim has the answers on the ground, is the best candidate who practices caring for ordinary people, and I support him because I think he is the only candidate who can defeat Lee Jae-myung."

Lawmaker Park Soo-young, who had strongly advocated within the party for Han Deok-su, the Acting President and Prime Minister, to run for president, resigned from all party positions and joined the campaign on this day.

On the same day, former Minister Kim's campaign appointed Kang Young-wook, Director of the Park Chung-hee Academy at Keimyung University, as Senior Advisor and Chair of Talent Recruitment Committee; Kim Hyung-gi, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Economics and Trade at Kyungpook National University, as Chair of the National Innovation Committee; and Jang Sung-ho, Chair of the People Power Party Eunpyeong-gu Eul District Committee, as Chief of Public Relations Strategy.
