Ulsan Representatives to Compete in the National Skills Competition in September
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsu) announced on the 16th that students from vocational high schools in Ulsan won 14 gold medals, 17 silver medals, 14 bronze medals, and 6 encouragement awards at the "2025 Ulsan Skills Competition" held from the 7th to the 11th.

The students who won medals will be exempted from the National Craftsman License exam for their respective fields and will represent Ulsan at the "60th National Skills Competition" to be held in Gwangju in September.
Hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City and organized by the Ulsan Skills Competition Committee, this event featured 128 local skilled technicians competing in 23 fields, including electrical control and game development, at eight venues such as Ulsan Technical High School and Ulsan Industrial High School. A total of 101 students from eight vocational high schools in Ulsan participated in 18 fields.
At Ulsan Technical High School, 24 students participated in CNC milling, casting, architectural design/CAD, industrial electronic devices, and electrical control, winning 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, and 2 encouragement awards.
At Ulsan Industrial High School, 17 students competed in agricultural machinery maintenance, confectionery, baking, and floral design, winning 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and 1 encouragement award.
At Hyundai Technical High School, 11 students competed in CNC lathe, welding, and industrial control, winning 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals, and 1 encouragement award.
At Ulsan Meister High School, 7 students participated in mold making and industrial control, winning 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.
At Ulsan Anyone High School, 19 students participated in game development and animation, winning 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and 1 encouragement award.
At Ulsan Life Science High School, 8 students participated in confectionery and baking, winning 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.
At Ulsan Energy High School, 8 students participated in mechatronics (in teams of two), winning 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal.
At Ulsan Beauty Arts High School, 7 students participated in hair design and skin care, winning 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 1 bronze medal, and 1 encouragement award.
The Ulsan Skills Competition Committee held an awards ceremony for the winners at Ulsan City Convention on the 14th, presenting medals and prize money to the top performers in each field.
