Cheongsong County Cancels This Year's Children's Day Grand Festival

Focusing All Efforts on Wildfire Recovery and Support for Disaster Victims

Cheongsong County, North Gyeongsang Province, has decided to fully cancel the '2025 Cheongsong County Children's Day Grand Festival' in order to focus on recovery efforts following the recent wildfire, support the swift return to daily life for disaster victims, and share in the community's pain.

The recent wildfire caused significant damage to forests, homes, and infrastructure throughout Cheongsong County, and the county is currently dedicating all administrative resources to recovery and support for those affected.

The 'Cheongsong County Children's Day Grand Festival' has been enjoyed by many residents and children every year, but the county has made this decision to prioritize recovery so that residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, "I extend my deepest condolences to those who lost their precious homes and to the bereaved families due to the recent wildfire," adding, "It weighs heavily on my heart to think of the children who were looking forward to the Children's Day event, but Cheongsong County will do its utmost, mobilizing all administrative capabilities, to overcome this hardship together with our residents and to create hope once again."
