"I Hope He Reflects While Repeating 'It Is My Fault'"
Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, who declared on the 14th that he would not participate in the People Power Party presidential primary, saying, "It is extremely wrong to insist on setting the primary rules by violating the party constitution and regulations just to make things favorable for oneself."
After the party meeting on the same day, Kwon responded to reporters' questions about reports that Yoo was considering running as an independent or from a third position, stating, "The presidential race proceeds according to each candidate's ability, will, and support," and pointed out, "If you decide not to run, then you don't run, but leaving while slandering the party is not the proper attitude of a great politician."

He added, "Following the will of the party members, it has already been decided that 50% of the vote comes from public opinion polls and 50% from party members," and "It is natural for the party leadership to abide by the party constitution and regulations." He also addressed former lawmaker Yoo, saying, "I hope he reflects while repeatedly saying, 'Everything is my fault, my great fault.'"
Earlier, Yoo Seung-min declared his withdrawal from the primary the day before, criticizing the People Power Party by saying, "Even though conservative presidents have been consecutively impeached, the party refuses to properly reflect and change." He demanded a complete national primary, but when the party leadership decided to select the candidate by reflecting 50% public opinion polls and 50% party members in the main primary, it appears he judged that the primary became disadvantageous for him.
