Donations for wildfire relief continue to pour in to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho).


On the 14th, AR Co., Ltd. (CEO Han Young-mo) donated 30 million KRW. AR Co., Ltd. decided that fulfilling its role for the local community during a national disaster is a corporate responsibility and united its efforts to provide practical support for recovery. Han Young-mo, CEO of AR Co., Ltd., said, "We empathize with those who lost their homes due to the sudden wildfire and appreciate the hard work of the firefighters leading the firefighting efforts. Although it is a small contribution, we hope it will give strength to the affected neighbors. AR will continue to strive to be a company that practices social responsibility."

Earlier, on the 11th, bio company Seegene Inc. (CEOs Chun Jong-yoon and Lee Dae-hoon) donated 300 million KRW. A Seegene representative said, "We believe that protecting life and health is the most important thing in a disaster situation. We hope this donation will help the residents of the affected areas recover their daily lives even a little."

On the same day, Daejoo Accounting Corporation (CEO Kim Young-baek), which donated 30 million KRW, said, "We joined the fundraising to offer even a small help to neighbors who suffered great damage from the unexpected wildfire. We hope our neighbors will recover from the damage and find stability as soon as possible."


Alumni of the 50th graduating class of Gyeongbok High School also donated 5 million KRW to mark their 50th anniversary. Oh Soo-kyung, president of the Gyeongbok High School 50th Alumni Association, said, "The alumni united with the desire to do something meaningful on the occasion of our 50th graduation anniversary. Although it is a small contribution, we hope it will help neighbors struggling due to the wildfire even a little."

Kang Dae-kwon, advisor to the Gyeongbok High School 50th Alumni Association, said, "Recently, Hope Bridge participated as an advisory member in the Disaster Safety Village Hall construction project in the wildfire-affected area of Goseong, Gangwon Province in 2019, and I personally felt the seriousness of wildfire damage and the importance of recovery. I hope this donation will help the affected neighbors restore their daily lives even a little."


Since the wildfire outbreak, Hope Bridge has urgently provided over 450,000 relief items and is actively continuing practical recovery activities such as laundry services at temporary shelters, medical support, and meal truck services.
