Daegu Regional Environmental Office (Director Kim Jinsik) awarded the Green Company Certificate and delivered the plaque to LG Innotek Co., Ltd. Gumi Plant 1 at the Daegu Regional Environmental Office on the 14th.
The Green Company Designation System is a system in which the director of the environmental office designates eco-friendly workplaces that have significantly reduced the emission of environmental pollutants and contributed to environmental improvement, such as energy saving, under their name. The designation period is three years. Companies designated as Green Companies are eligible for benefits such as exemption from regular environmental inspections and priority support for funds needed for environmental improvement.

Since it was first designated as a Green Company in March 2016, LG Innotek Co., Ltd. Gumi Plant 1 has continuously practiced eco-friendly management and has been re-designated as a Green Company this year. Over the past three years, the plant has been recognized for its strong commitment to green management by reducing environmental pollutants and increasing waste recycling rates through facility improvements and investments, as well as consistently working to improve the environment through various in-house campaigns.
Kim Jinsik, Director of the Daegu Regional Environmental Office, stated, "As LG Innotek Co., Ltd. Gumi Plant 1 has been re-designated as a Green Company, I hope it will continue to play a leading role in solving local environmental issues," adding, "We plan to actively support Green Companies so that they can continue their environmental improvement activities and eco-friendly management."
