Professor Kim Chiyong of Dong-Eui University has been reappointed as the president of the Busan Broadcasting and Visual Forum.
The Busan Broadcasting and Visual Forum held its board meeting and general assembly on April 11 at 4 p.m. in Seminar Room 622 of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Building at Dong-Eui University, where the current president, Kim Chiyong (also the Director of External Cooperation at Dong-Eui University), was re-elected as the next president. The term will last four years, until June 30, 2029.
The event was attended by Kim Chiyong, president of the Busan Broadcasting and Visual Forum; Bae Seungju, board member (professor at Kyungsung University); the forum’s chief professors; Gong Jiheun, newly appointed board member and director of the Busan Youth Policy Research Institute; Bae Gyuhan, CEO of Eco Design Center; and Lee Hyunho, CEO of Global Topnet, among others.
Kim Chiyong stated, "The Busan Broadcasting and Visual Forum has played a significant role in developing Busan into a world-class city for broadcasting and visual media," adding, "This year, through various events such as the 3rd Global Broadcasting and Visual Symposium and the 20th Busan Visual Contest, we will unite our efforts in the broadcasting and visual fields to further establish Busan as a global hub city."
He emphasized, "In particular, this year we will further vitalize the Busan Visual Contest by increasing the prize money, the number of award-winning works, and the number of presenters."
The Busan Broadcasting and Visual Forum was established on September 19, 2003, with the aim of promoting the development of the visual culture industry in the Busan region through a network of industry, academia, government, and research institutions. More than 150 professionals, professors, and related workers in the broadcasting and visual content fields participate in the forum.
