The committee members inspected the facilities and met with city officials who are making final preparations for the event, urging them to do their best so that the athletes can compete in a comfortable environment and achieve excellent results. They also emphasized the importance of operating the event in a way that allows citizens and visitors to enjoy the festival comfortably without experiencing inconvenience related to traffic or parking.

This year's festival will be held in Jinju, Gyeongnam, which is striving to become a premier sports city, from May 2 to 5 under the slogan "The Power of United Gyeongnam in Prosperous Jinju" for four days.

Jinju City plans to further strengthen its status as the "Sports Mecca Jinju" by successfully hosting a large-scale event with 20,000 participants in 36 events from 18 cities and counties.

Jung Yonghak, Chairperson of the Planning and Culture Committee, said, "In the process of expanding sports infrastructure, we must ensure both safety and functionality," and asked the relevant departments, "Do not view the provincial sports festival as a one-time event, but use this as an opportunity to improve facilities that will raise the level of everyday sports for citizens, and also consider long-term plans for facility utilization."
