All-Generational Celebratory Lineup Draws Attention
The 37th Yeoju Ceramic Festival is drawing nationwide attention with an unprecedented lineup of celebratory performances. According to Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province on the 11th, a spectacular show spanning generations will take place on May 6 and 10 at the special stage in the Yeoju Sinreuksa tourist area.
On the evening of May 6, the '7080 Concert' will offer nostalgia and emotion to the middle-aged and older generations, while providing a unique musical experience for younger audiences. The stage will feature singer Choi Seong-su, beloved for hits like 'Pulip Sarang' and 'Haehu,' and the 'original diva' Yang Soo-kyung, who enjoyed nationwide popularity in the 1980s and 90s with songs such as 'Love is a Cold Temptation,' delivering a performance that stirs deep emotions and memories.
Then, on the evening of May 10, an 'EDM DJ Concert' for the MZ generation will be held. Park Myung-su, known as 'G-Park,' who has made a distinctive mark across entertainment and music, along with Yeoju City’s ambassador and versatile artist Kim Seong-su, who spans trot and DJing, will take the stage to heat up Yeoju’s night with dazzling EDM sounds.
Lee Soon-yeol, chairman of the Yeoju Sejong Cultural Tourism Foundation, which organizes the event, said, "We are making every effort to ensure that the nights in Yeoju, where culture, art, and festivals come together, will be long remembered by visitors," adding, "We expect that this celebratory performance, prepared with a variety of attractions, will enrich the festival even more."
In addition to the '7080 Concert' and 'EDM DJ Concert,' top-tier domestic artists who have led the trot craze, including Jang Yoon-jung, Jang Min-ho, Lee Chan-won, and Chun-gil, will appear in large numbers. Furthermore, on May 3, 'Yeoju City Ambassador Day,' Tei, Hye-eun-i, and Sindella will take the stage, raising expectations among visitors with a luxurious lineup that showcases the scale and prestige of the festival.
Meanwhile, the 37th Yeoju Ceramic Festival will be held from May 1 to 11 throughout the Yeoju Sinreuksa tourist area. Set against the beautiful natural scenery of the Namhan River, this festival will feature the proclamation ceremony of the 'Year of Yeoju Tourism,' the opening ceremony of the Namhan River Suspension Bridge, and various experiential and exhibition programs where visitors can feel the charm and excitement of ceramics.
