Senior Aides Bid Final Farewell at the Presidential Residence
Former President Yoon Suk-yeol left the Hannam-dong residence and moved to the Seocho-dong residence on the afternoon of the 11th.
The departure from the former president's residence came seven days after the Constitutional Court's dismissal decision, and 886 days after moving from the Seocho-dong residence to the Hannam-dong residence on November 7, 2022.
Senior aides from the Presidential Office reportedly visited the residence before former President Yoon's departure to bid their final farewells.
Under the "Act on the Protection of the President, etc.," former President Yoon can receive protection from the Presidential Security Service for up to 10 years. It is known that the Presidential Security Service has organized a security team of about 40 members for the residence.
After his inauguration in May 2022, former President Yoon commuted to and from the Seocho-dong residence for about six months while receiving protection from the Presidential Security Service until the Hannam-dong residence was prepared.
