All Staff Mobilized to Assist Resident Evacuation
Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province reported that from March 25 to March 28, in response to the wildfire that spread from Uiseong, the dedication of employees from the Uljin County Branch of NH Nonghyup Bank and Namuljin Nonghyup, who supported the preemptive evacuation of 345 residents (from Jogeum-ri, Deokin-ri, Deoksan-ri in Onjeong-myeon, Geumeum-ri in Hupo-myeon, Indeok Sarang Village, and Youngshin Haemil Home), shone even brighter in the midst of crisis.

Around 8 p.m. on March 25, despite the sudden decision to evacuate residents, the Uljin County Branch of NH Nonghyup Bank provided 18 rooms and mobilized 33 staff members, including employees from Baekam Training Center, Namuljin Nonghyup, and the Uljin County Branch, to assist evacuees and minimize inconvenience for residents.
Furthermore, although they do not operate a restaurant, in order to revitalize the local economy, they prepared lunch boxes and gimbap to provide breakfast to 73 evacuees staying at the training center and 69 evacuees at the Onjeong Middle School gymnasium.
Even though renting the Baekam Training Center of NH Nonghyup Bank would normally require a rental fee of about 5 million won and additional meal costs, the Uljin County Branch of NH Nonghyup Bank (headed by Jang Namho) and Namuljin Nonghyup (headed by Hwang Jaegil) decided to cover all expenses for the benefit of local residents.

County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "We urgently carried out a preemptive evacuation of residents due to the rapidly spreading wildfire, and many organizations in the region spared no effort to support the residents who evacuated without any preparation. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to the Uljin County Branch of NH Nonghyup Bank, Namuljin Nonghyup, Onjeong Middle School, Hupo Elementary School, Onjeong-myeon Red Cross Volunteer Association, Hupo Youth Association, and many others who rolled up their sleeves to help set up shelters in the evacuation centers and provided both human and material resources without hesitation."
