Sejong University announced on the 12th that Professor Lee Gang-hwa of the Department of Painting will hold a solo exhibition titled 'Walking... Spring' at Mi & Gallery in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from the 15th to the 26th.
This exhibition will showcase more than 20 paintings capturing the emotions and nature of spring. Focusing on works that use simple objects cherished over many years as subjects, the pieces go beyond depictions of nature to reflect personal memories and recollections.
Professor Lee graduated from the Department of Western Painting at Seoul National University College of Fine Arts and completed bachelor's and master's courses in plastic arts at Paris 8 University in France. He has actively held 45 solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally, including in Seoul, Paris, and the State Museum of Hesse in Germany.
A representative of Mi & Gallery stated, "This exhibition includes many new works filled with Professor Lee's unique delicate and warm sensibility," adding, "Visitors will be able to experience an inner resonance beyond a simple sense of the season through the artworks."
