The task force consists of 24 experts from various fields, including on-site school professionals, officials from the Jeonnam Office of Education, policy and administrative specialists, local government representatives, and alumni. Drawing on their expertise and field experience, they plan to engage in multifaceted discussions on curriculum design, administrative and financial support measures, and integrated school operation models.
At the first council meeting, in-depth discussions were held on the operational direction of the task force, setting the vision for the integrated Mokpo High School, developing a future-oriented curriculum, and support measures to minimize confusion among students and within the school environment during the integration process.
Going forward, the task force will present the vision and operational model for the integrated school through regular council meetings and establish policy and educational foundations to ensure that the integrated Mokpo High School is stably positioned as a Jeonnam-type autonomous high school. In addition, they will closely examine various issues that may arise during the integration and relocation process and work in close cooperation with the Office of Education and the local community to find optimal solutions.
Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Education, stated, "The integrated Mokpo High School will go beyond simple physical integration to establish a new operational system that encompasses both curriculum and support structures, becoming a future model for education in Jeonnam. We will continue to provide unwavering support to ensure this school is firmly established as a Jeonnam-type autonomous high school."
Meanwhile, the Jeonnam Office of Education plans to use the integration and relocation of Mokpo High School as an opportunity to create a future-oriented educational environment and further strengthen its competitiveness as a Jeonnam-type autonomous high school.
