Positive Rating Up 1.6% and Negative Rating Down 1.3% in March Realmeter Survey Compared to Previous Month
Governor Park Wansoo of Gyeongnam Province was ranked fifth among 17 metropolitan and provincial governors nationwide for job performance in March.
Polling agency Realmeter announced on the 11th the results of the March job performance evaluation for metropolitan and provincial governors, stating that Governor Park ranked fifth nationwide.
According to the survey results, Governor Park received a positive evaluation score of 48.3%, up 1.6 percentage points from 46.7% last month, and his ranking also jumped from 8th to 5th.
The average positive evaluation score for metropolitan and provincial governors nationwide decreased by 2.1% from 48.2% in February to 46.1% in March, but Governor Park received more positive evaluations from residents compared to last month, recording the second highest increase.
The negative evaluation for Governor Park fell by 1.3 percentage points, from 36.9% in February to 35.6% in March.
The positive evaluation for resident satisfaction by metropolitan and provincial area also increased by 1.2 percentage points, from 60.6% last month to 61.8% in March, and the ranking rose from 11th to 7th nationwide.
The relative index of metropolitan and provincial governors' party support, which measures the level of job performance evaluation compared to the party support in the region where the governor belongs, also rose from 98.4 last month to 92.7 in March, ranking 6th, up four places from the previous month.
This survey was conducted from February 26 to March 1, and from March 28 to 31, targeting 13,600 people aged 18 or older nationwide (800 per city/province), using an automated response system for random landline and mobile calls. The sampling error is ±3.5 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
