The first regular concert of the Gyeonggi Ribera Orchestra was sold out on the 10th, concluding successfully.
The Gyeonggi Ribera Orchestra, founded on December 3 last year, is the nation’s first talent development orchestra for people with disabilities, established by Gyeonggi Province, with conductor Park Seong-ho.
Under the title "The First Harmony," 1,062 out of 1,320 seats (80.5%) were pre-booked, and the remaining seats were sold on-site, resulting in a full house.
Notably, 334 members of the "Gyeonggi Province Disabled Orchestra Supporters," who received invitations and made advance reservations, attended the performance.

The Gyeonggi Ribera Orchestra is recruiting supporters who donate funds, contribute talents such as composing, arranging, ensemble participation, photography, and videography, and volunteer to encourage the artistic activities and growth of people with disabilities and to allow residents to enjoy the arts together. Supporters receive invitations to performances.
Pianist An In-mo provided program commentary for this concert. An Hee-chan, a top domestic trumpeter who served as principal of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, professor at Chugye University for the Arts, and currently music director of the Gangnam Wind Orchestra, participated as a featured soloist. Familiar works widely known to the public, such as Edward Elgar’s "Pomp and Circumstance March" and Dvo??k’s Symphony No. 9, were performed.
Since its founding in December last year, the orchestra has been dedicating itself to individual training and ensemble rehearsals twice a week.
Kim Seong-jung, First Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We will do our best to support the Gyeonggi Ribera Orchestra so that young artists can overcome disabilities and fully express their passion."
