A commemorative medal featuring the portrait and achievements of pro gamer 'Faker (real name Lee Sang-hyeok)' will be sold in limited quantities.
The Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation announced on the 11th that it will release the commemorative medal on the 7th of next month to celebrate Faker's birthday.
Faker debuted as a professional League of Legends (LoL) player in 2013 and has shown unparalleled performance, earning recognition as the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) in the esports field. He is currently active as a pro gamer for the global esports representative team SKT CS T1.
The Mint Corporation will release and sell the commemorative medal, produced with its own technology, in limited quantities. The front of the medal features a portrait of Faker seated on a throne, while the back artistically depicts the word "GOAT" handwritten by Faker and a crown symbolizing his international tournament victories.

The commemorative medals are limited editions, including gold medals (Au999, 15.55g, ø32mm, round, proof) with 507 pieces and silver medals (Ag999, 31.1g, ø40mm, round, proof) with 2,000 pieces, making them highly valuable collectibles.
Planned and released in collaboration between the Mint Corporation and SKT CS T1, the commemorative medals will be available for purchase from 10 a.m. on the 7th of next month through the Mint Corporation's online store, T1 Basecamp, Hmall, and The Hyundai.com.
