At 1:30 p.m. on the same day, a joint safety inspection was held at the Basic Living Base Development Project site in Sinduk-myeon, Imsil-gun, attended by construction supervisors, site representatives, safety managers, and other construction-related personnel.

The inspection was carried out using a checklist that included the establishment and implementation of safety management plans, temporary structures (retaining walls, scaffolding, shoring, formwork), and the safety of construction machinery (mobile cranes, pile drivers).

During the hands-on safety management training, participants shared information on construction accident statistics, the preparation of safety management plans and accident handling procedures, and safety management case studies. They also strengthened their crisis response capabilities by safely experiencing potential risk situations at construction sites through virtual reality (VR) simulations.

This inspection, starting with the first half joint inspection of construction sites in the eastern region, is scheduled to continue throughout April in Saemangeum, the western region, and the Geumgang region in sequence.

Director Kim Dongin stated, "We expect this joint inspection to help prevent accidents at construction sites and strengthen safety management capabilities, and we urge everyone to maintain thorough safety management."
