The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 8th that it held the 'Integrated Briefing Session for Corporate Support in Gwangju City under the Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project'.
The integrated briefing session, held that afternoon in the main conference room of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was attended by about 100 executives and employees from small and medium-sized enterprises in the home appliance, automobile, and root industry sectors in the Gwangju area.
This integrated briefing session was promoted as part of the '2025 Regional and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project' supported by Gwangju City and the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office. It was organized to comprehensively introduce and guide various corporate support projects with a total project budget of 5 billion KRW, including 3.8 billion KRW in national funding, to local companies.
The session proceeded in the order of Regional Innovation Project, Regional Plus Job Project, and Support for Spreading Win-Win Agreements by Industry. As part of the linked projects for corporate support, the Korea Electrical Technology Institute introduced its 'Home Appliance Industry Company Certification and Export Support', and the Gwangju Employment Welfare Plus Center presented its 'Comprehensive Corporate Support Service Project', providing a wide range of information to companies.
Lee Gyedu, Director of Labor and Job Policy at Gwangju City, stated, "The Regional Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of local key industries and create high-quality jobs," and added, "Starting with this integrated briefing session, we hope that small and medium-sized enterprises in the home appliance, automobile, and root industries will receive diverse support, enabling companies to grow and workers to settle in the region."
Meanwhile, as part of the Regional Innovation Project under the 'Regional and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project', the 'Home Appliance Industry Tomorrow Project' aims to enhance employment and self-sustainability by strengthening the competitiveness of home appliance companies in Gwangju. This project is jointly carried out by a total of six organizations, including the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gwangju Technopark, Gwangju Design Center, Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation, and Gwangju Employers Federation.
