Assaulted a Nurse While Waiting for Medical Treatment at Hospital
Famous Japanese actress Ryoko Hirosue (45) was arrested on charges of assaulting a nurse.
According to Japanese media TV Asahi on the 8th, Ryoko Hirosue was arrested on the spot for assaulting a nurse at the Shimada City General Medical Center in Shizuoka Prefecture. She is accused of kicking a nurse and scratching her arm while waiting for medical treatment at the hospital around 12:20 a.m. that day.
Ryoko Hirosue was involved in an accident around 7 p.m. the previous evening when she collided with a large trailer while driving on the Shin-Tome Expressway northbound in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture. She sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. It is reported that her manager was riding in the vehicle with her.
The police stated, "We are conducting an investigation into Ryoko Hirosue," but did not disclose specific details of the investigation.
Ryoko Hirosue, who debuted in 1994, appeared in films such as "Railroad Man," "Secret," and "Love Letter," as well as Japanese dramas like "Long Vacation," "Beach Boys," and "Summer Snow." She rose to fame in the 1990s as Japan's "national little sister" and became a top star.
In 2003, Ryoko Hirosue married model Takahiro Okazawa after giving birth to a son from a premarital pregnancy, but they divorced in 2008. She later married art director Candle Jun in 2010, with whom she had two children and maintained a marriage for 14 years.
However, she faced severe criticism after being involved in an affair scandal with actor Takeru Sato, who is nine years her junior, in 2014. In 2023, another affair with famous Japanese chef Shusaku Toba was revealed, which ultimately led to their breakup. Ryoko Hirosue admitted to the affair with Shusaku Toba and issued an official apology.
