Saltlux is showing strong performance. In the domestic stock market, as political theme stocks are gaining momentum ahead of the early presidential election, the stock prices of listed companies participating in the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Powerhouse Committee' are rising. CrowdWorks has been hitting the upper price limit for three consecutive days, drawing attention to Saltlux as well.
As of 9:33 AM on the 8th, Saltlux was trading at 31,500 KRW, up 3,050 KRW (10.72%) compared to the previous trading day. CrowdWorks surged 113% over three trading days.
Earlier, the Democratic Party of Korea established the 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Powerhouse Committee' within the party in February, with Lee Jae-myung as the chairman. The intention was to vigorously advance AI agendas at the party level, which had previously been discussed in the form of a task force (TF).
The first meeting was held right after the inauguration ceremony of the Democratic Party AI Powerhouse Committee on the 7th of last month. It is reported that policies encouraging collaboration among various companies to create a single large language model (LLM), with the government acting as a central coordinator, were discussed. In a commemorative photo taken after the AI Powerhouse Committee-hosted forum titled 'AI Era, Finding a New Path for the Republic of Korea' held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, CEO Lee Kyung-il and CEO Kim Woo-seung are seen cheering on both sides of Chairman Lee Jae-myung.
The first meeting was attended by Chairman Lee, floor deputy chairman Jeong Dong-young, non-parliamentary deputy chairman Kim Woo-seung, CEO of CrowdWorks, CEO Lee Kyung-il of Saltlux, KAIST distinguished professor Shin Jin-woo, and secretary Hwang Jeong-ah. Policy chief Jin Sung-jun was also present. Representatives from companies engaged in the AI industry, such as Samsung Electronics, SK Telecom, and Naver, proposed policies needed from a corporate perspective.
Since many companies on the industrial front participated in the meeting, there was in-depth discussion on securing graphics processing units (GPU) and neural processing units (NPU), talent development, and AI models that Korea should focus on. In particular, regarding GPUs and NPUs, it was emphasized that securing devices for service and inference, rather than for training, is crucial for the competitiveness of domestic companies, and investment is necessary.
AI-related policies are expected to become a key issue in the presidential election. As interest in fostering the artificial intelligence (AI) industry spreads in the political sphere, the National Innovation Party will launch a special AI committee on the 9th. The Innovation Party, having previously joined hands with the Democratic Party to launch the bipartisan AI Transition Coalition, plans to establish its own special committee to proactively lead AI policies in this early presidential election phase.
