Sconex Appoints Park Woncheol as New CEO... Launching Aggressive Management by Recruiting Financial Expert

Sconex, a company specializing in virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, announced on the 8th that it has appointed Park Won-cheol as its new CEO, marking the start of an aggressive growth strategy.

CEO Park Won-cheol is an expert with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. Leveraging his extensive financial knowledge and experience, he plans to lead Sconex’s management innovation and expansion. In his inaugural remarks, he stated, “We will break away from the previous passive management approach and establish a structure where sales and profits grow together in a short period through aggressive fundraising and M&A.”

Under CEO Park’s leadership, Sconex is recruiting top talent and developing and delivering numerous proactive training programs for government agencies. These include simulated training to enhance combat capabilities by integrating VR and AI, special operations programs, and immersive chemical accident response training programs applying VR/AR technology.

CEO Park said, “Having successfully entered the market through five years of development and delivery, and with the establishment of international standards for the XR large-space education and training system, we are expanding projects with domestic public institutions. 2025 will be a landmark year with significantly improved performance, which will lead to even greater achievements in the future.”

He added, “In particular, our competitive advantage lies in a 15m*15m simulated training ground replicating actual combat scenes, where indoor shooting and defensive position training are possible through real maneuvers. The large-space XR hybrid defense simulation training equipment and content are becoming a core industry supporting Korea’s growth engine, K-Defense. Thanks to this, we expect visible results in overseas expansion, especially in multiple Southeast Asian countries.”
