Creating a Clean and Safe Public Hygiene Service Environment
Seongsan-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, will conduct the '2025 Public Hygiene Service Evaluation' starting from the 14th, targeting 68 barbershops and 1,208 beauty salons within Seongsan-gu. The purpose of this evaluation is to promote qualitative improvement of public hygiene services and contribute to the health and quality of life of residents.
The public hygiene service evaluation is divided into a general status section and an evaluation section scored through assessment. Honorary public hygiene inspectors will visit the establishments in person and conduct the evaluation based on assessment tools and guidelines.
The results of the evaluation will be sent to the establishments by mail and announced on the Seongsan-gu Office website. Among the top-performing businesses, up to 10% will be selected as 'The Best Establishments' and awarded a logo signboard.
In addition, to ensure smooth progress of the public hygiene service evaluation, a preliminary meeting was held with related organizations and honorary public hygiene inspectors to discuss the evaluation, and education on precautions and evaluation procedures was provided during business visits.
Kim Su-yoon, Head of the Culture and Hygiene Division, said, "We hope this evaluation will encourage voluntary improvement in hygiene and service standards among public hygiene businesses in the district. We will actively work to achieve this."
