Aiming for 13 Consecutive Years as No. 1 in the OLED TV Market

LG Electronics has officially launched its 2025 OLED TV lineup in Europe, following releases in North America and South Korea. The company aims to maintain its 13-year consecutive global leadership in the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV market by emphasizing '5 key artificial intelligence (AI) features' that anyone can easily use.

LG Electronics announced on the 7th that it began selling the 2025 OLED TV models earlier this month in eight European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, and Hungary. With this, the number of countries where the 2025 LG OLED TVs have been launched has increased to over 20.

Based on a sequential launch plan covering approximately 150 countries, LG Electronics is expanding its sales regions. Alongside the European launch, positive reviews from prominent overseas media continue to pour in. French tech media 'Les Num?riques' gave the LG OLED Evo (G5) a perfect score of 5 out of 5, describing it as "one of the best TVs of 2025, offering excellent picture quality, superior gaming performance, and a high level of peak brightness."

The UK TV review specialist 'HDTV Test' praised it as "a TV that shows intense sunlight and the surrounding clouds in detail," while the UK IT media 'T3' lauded the new brightness enhancement technology of the LG OLED Evo (G5), stating that "OLED technology in 2025 has reached the stratosphere."

The 2025 LG OLED TV lineup includes premium models such as the OLED Evo (M5, G5, C5) and the standard OLED TV (B5), with sizes ranging from 42 inches to 97 inches.

LG Electronics explained that it has elevated the customer experience of TV viewing to a new level through five tangible AI features accessible via dedicated buttons on the Magic Remote, including AI Concierge and AI Search. The AI Concierge feature suggests personalized keywords based on AI analysis of usage patterns by time of day, such as connecting a game console or watching soccer highlights. It can be accessed simply by briefly pressing the AI button on the remote during TV viewing. AI Search, based on large language models (LLM), understands customer speech and infers intent to perform searches. For example, if a user requests "Show me good movies to watch before going to Paris," it recommends movies set in Paris.

The AI chatbot assists with resolving simple issues that arise while using the TV, and the AI Custom Screen & Sound Wizard suggests settings tailored to the customer's preferences from approximately 1.6 billion screen options and 40 million sound options. The Voice ID feature distinguishes users by voice, allowing account switching with a single command and providing optimized content and picture modes for each viewer.

Additionally, the 2025 LG OLED TV features a new brightness enhancement technology that changes the display algorithm and the organic compound layering structure, resulting in a screen that is more than three times brighter than the standard OLED TV (B5). It also maximizes contrast with 'Perfect Black,' which consistently displays deep blacks regardless of ambient lighting conditions.

LG Electronics plans to further solidify its leadership in the global premium TV market with the 2025 OLED TV lineup. According to market research firm Omdia, LG Electronics held a 52.4% share of the global OLED TV market by shipment volume last year, marking its 12th consecutive year at number one.
