Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 6th that it has newly opened a dedicated car wash facility for rental agricultural machinery to support efficient farming activities for farmers and to reduce the burden of managing agricultural equipment.
Hampyeong County will officially operate the rental agricultural machinery car wash, which is equipped with state-of-the-art cleaning facilities, to prevent performance degradation of agricultural machinery and to improve convenience for farmers.
Recently, as the mechanization of agriculture has rapidly advanced, the usage rate of rental agricultural machinery has increased. However, there have been ongoing concerns about the need for regular cleaning and maintenance, as prolonged use leads to the accumulation of dirt and contaminants, which in turn causes machinery performance to decline.
In response, the county has established a dedicated car wash facility equipped with the latest cleaning equipment, including high-pressure washers, so that farmers can manage their machinery without burden and carry out their farming activities comfortably. The facility is open to the public free of charge.
Lee Sangik, the governor of Hampyeong County, said, "Washing and maintaining agricultural machinery is an essential factor directly linked to improving agricultural productivity," and added, "I hope that the newly opened car wash facility will help resolve practical inconveniences in the agricultural field."
