Dense Fog on the Islands On the 7th, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to be mostly clear and mild, with daytime high temperatures rising up to 23 degrees Celsius. On the 7th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will experience mostly clear and mild weather.


According to the Gwangju Meteorological Administration, the region will be under the influence of a high-pressure system moving from the southern seas of Jeju Island to the southern seas of Japan. Morning lows will range from 0 to 8 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will rise to between 17 and 23 degrees Celsius. In some island areas, dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters is expected.


Morning lows will be 1 degree in Boseong, 2 degrees in Jangseong, Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Naju, Hwasun, Yeongam, Haenam, and Goheung, 3 degrees in Hampyeong and Gangjin, 4 degrees in Muan and Suncheon, 5 degrees in Gwangju and Jindo, 6 degrees in Gwangyang and Wando, 7 degrees in Mokpo and Shinan, and 8 degrees in Yeosu.


Daytime highs will be 23 degrees in Gurye, 22 degrees in Gwangju, Damyang, Gokseong, Hwasun, and Suncheon, 21 degrees in Jangseong, Naju, Yeongam, Gangjin, Jangheung, Boseong, and Gwangyang, 20 degrees in Yeonggwang, Hampyeong, Muan, Haenam, Wando, and Goheung, 19 degrees in Mokpo, 18 degrees in Jindo, and 17 degrees in Shinan and Yeosu, making for a mild day.


Waves on the West and South Seas will be calm at 0.5 meters. Fine and ultrafine dust concentrations will be at 'moderate' levels.


An official from the Gwangju Meteorological Administration said, "In most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam, winds may blow strongly with instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h (15 m/s) (up to 70 km/h (20 m/s) in mountainous areas), so please pay attention to facility management and safety accidents."
