Eunpyeong-gu, ‘Jeungsan Sports Park’ Reborn as a Multi-Generational Healing Park Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, experiencing the Barefoot Health Path (center). Provided by Eunpyeong-gu.

Jeungsan Sports Park, located in the San 18-6 area of Jeungsan-dong, is a park of approximately 10,900㎡ situated above the Jeungsan Reservoir. Within a 1km radius, there are more than 8,000 apartment units concentrated, including the redevelopment zones of Susaek and Jeungsan districts, as well as seven elementary and middle schools. Additionally, the park is located along the Eunpyeong Dullegil and Seoul Dullegil trails, making it easily accessible to a wide range of age groups from children to the elderly.

This project was carried out with active reflection of residents' opinions, completely renovating the old sports and children's play facilities to create a space where all generations can enjoy together.

Regarding the sports facilities, the flooring of the jokgu (foot volleyball) court, futsal field, and basketball court, as well as the aging fences, were fully refurbished to provide a safer and more comfortable environment. Furthermore, new fitness equipment such as CrossFit apparatus and horizontal bars were installed in the exercise area to help improve the physical strength of teenagers and young adults.

In the play area, in addition to the existing playground equipment for children, adventure-type play facilities such as a 20-meter-long zip line and a net complex playground were introduced so that not only children but also teenagers can use them together. In particular, considering residents' rest and health, the district created a barefoot walking path connecting the Eunpyeong Dullegil and Seoul Dullegil trails.

District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “We will continue to actively reflect residents' opinions to continuously supplement and develop community sports and play facilities,” and added, “We hope Jeungsan Sports Park will become a healthy and vibrant space where all generations can come together.”
